Some things never change. Where and how it happens, does. Bullying is not just a normal childhood behavior. It adds to and reflects a growing culture of disrespect to which media contributes through its portrayals, subjects, discourse and technology. Traditional face to face bullying still occurs especially where there is not adult supervision such as playgrounds, on school buses and outside of school.   How can you as a parent be more involved in your child’s education? It’s not as hard as you think! Attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering in the classroom, and getting involved with the PTA – are of course wonderful activities that will make a lasting difference in your child’s educational experience. But the essence of parent involvement is available in the daily settings and activities of your family and home.
